Form is set aside. In Towards Radical, on paper, the field loses its last edge, while the canvases of the same year still build bodies. After a break in 2022, the field returns at scale in Distances, from darkness through saturated colour to light; in Introspection, light enters from the edge and ends as bare canvas. In Standby, flat colour stays, with nothing left to cut: it only stops the field along a straight edge.
Begun on paper in 2021, alongside Towards Radical, and continued on canvas until 2024. On canvas the flat ground is usually painted first and masked, and the field worked around it. Neither has a form: where they meet, the field simply ends along a straight edge.
