In 2018, a 210 × 600 cm canvas was worked on a wall with a roller, brush, and spray, then cut up; the pieces were stretched and finished in the following years. Much of this group comes from that one field. Enclosures holds its material inside a contour; Dimensional Interweaving steps the contour like a plan; in Reserves the figure is an untouched field, only its surround painted; in Transmutation the cut stroke becomes a body hovering on its own shadow.

On a blank canvas, a pencil grid comes first, and the objects are found on it as the grid leads, by horizontals, verticals, and forty-five-degree lines. Only then are the fields masked where a pour or a gesture should go. Across the sequence, the ground wears away into interlocking plates, before the field returns as gesture.
